SIMOLD 2311 is prehardened plastic mould steel with good machinability, superior to steel grade 1.2312, and suitable for texturing.

Continuous Cooling Transformation (CCT)
Tempering
Hardening
Harden from a temperature of 830 - 880°C followed by oil or air quenching or warm bath quenching 180 - 220°C. Hardness after quenching is 51 HRC.
Forging
Hot forming temperature: 1050 - 850°C.
